I decided to run the Boston Marathon...

I must be nuts!
A year ago I would have vomited at the thought of running 26.2 miles... ha, I would have had the same reaction to 5 miles!
Then I needed something... work was work, life was life... I had great friends and family, I lived in a great city... but nothing was challenging. So I decided to start waking up at 6am (okay, that was already a challenge) 4 days a week and trained for a half marathon.
The half was this past June and it went... okay. It was a hot day and the course was nothing. but. hills. My knee wanted to fall off and my time was not the best. Oh and I did it totally alone... that kind of sucked. =(
So, that experience wasn't the best.
Maybe going for something a little bit easier would have been the next move to make. Like a 5K or flat course half. But that's not a challenge.
I applied to run Boston, possibly one of the hardest marathons out there, train all winter in the freezing cold, and raise $4K for the Childrens Hospital.
This time I'm on a team, I have a great friend running with me, I have coaches and trainers. So, here goes something!
